"High needs students" are students who have a known speech and language impairment, are two or more grade-levels behind, or that have an IEP in place to reach specific goals. Although these students do not meet the broader program goal of reaching grade-level proficiency, we celebrate their progress as steps towards their individual goals made through consistent participation in classroom lessons and activities held in a group/classroom learning environment. Additionally, students receive lesson modifications and individualized instruction in the form of small group workshops and/or one on one lessons. All students improved by a minimum of a 12%  increase in assessment scores in Mathematics and English Language Arts combined by May of 2018. Strive is an inclusive, safe learning environment with the aim to foster a home for personal and academic success for all.
